GLOBAL CITIES AS AN OBJECT FOR TERRORIST ATTACKS

Abstract:
This paper considers the so-called global cities as a potential target for terrorist attacks, including acts of international terrorism. It analyzes statistical information on significant and major terrorist incidents over the period 1970-2013. The article reveals some patterns of their distribution. The article explores the possible factors of terrorism in the world's most important cities under the conditions of globalization.
