RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION AND HUNGARY

Abstract:
Rural development policy of the European Union is intended to ensure European rural areas to meet the challenges facing them and to utilize their available potential. This called the European Network of Rural Development, the organization for rural policy of the community connecting the national rural development networks and having an organizing, co-ordinating role in developing the co-operation of national networks contributing to the effective utilization of resources for rural development. Major step forward in the Hungarian rural policy is indicated by the establishment of the National Rural Strategy – the constitution of the Hungarian rural areas and the Daranyi Ignac Plan helping its realization.
