FIRE HAZARD OF WOODLANDS IN KHARKIV REGION AND MODELLING OF THEIR DESTRUCTION RISK

Abstract:
The factors of fire hazard of forest areas in the Kharkiv region are found out. The author deals with the landscape structure, floristic composition and age-dependent structure of the forest areas, distribution of wood pests and illnesses, surplus technogenic and recreational loading, as well as the duration of fire dangerous period. The calculations of probability of origin of forest fires are carried out on the basis of statistical information. The model for fire risk danger is presented. Cartographic material on the specific fire risk within the forest areas of the Kharkiv region was prepared based on the conducted calculations.
